for a sec I felt motivated enough to go to the gym but then I remembered that I’m fat and socially anxious and would not survive ten seconds being judged by all those fit ppl so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
theres always like these boring or maybe even kinda nice clothes or accessories and the thing that makes them just really bad is some small text like “be trippin” or “turnt” or something and its like. embarrassing
i love kakashi, i really do, but he’s not naruto’s father. he’s the vodka aunt that shows up hungover and gives vaguely helpful, but completely inappropriate, life advice
me, crouched down in front of my tomato plants, examining a pattern of insect bites on their lower leaves: i’m going to fucking kill whoever did this. i’m going to kill them for you. don’t worry, babies. I’m going to murder every single son of a bitch who ever got a mouthful of you. they’ll die screaming
my neighbor, who i did not realize was also outside, standing behind the fence: oh! okay. you’re talking to the plants. okay.
this might sound a lil jumbled up cos i originally posted it on discord but
it’s really sad that there’s like a bunch of trans men throughout history who, if they catch the eye of mainstream media, will only ever be remembered as “a woman in pants” because of blatant transphobia and that if the media created about these men is popular it will do so much damage to historical retellings about them and it’ll take ages to undo what’s done, if it ever comes close to being undone or even cared enough about to be undone, because hollywood really loves to put cispeople in “opposite gender” clothing instead of just… using trans people to tell trans stories. but i guess it’s less believable to the public if you aren’t putting a “real woman” in a binder and making her “sound like a man” in order to tell the story
not to mention its incredibly sad that a lot of these men had explicit instructions to be handled and buried in a certain way upon their deaths and 9/10 either they weren’t followed or it was ignored or someone intruded and ruined everything and they were posthumously outed!!
i think its incredibly tone deaf of hollywood to go forth with marketing the story of a trans man as that of a genderfluid woman, especially in our current society where trans people are targeted for assault and death more and more, and when there is such a loud calling out for more trans representation not only in the media, but for trans actors in general
so i was talking to my dad about guardians of the galaxy and when i mentioned chris pratt my dad sighs and says “I dont know how parents could be mean enough to name their child after a fried rodent” and i sat there looking really confused and he just whispered “crisp rat.”
